The Latest News & Updates
You Can Change Your Life in 2026
I have been very remiss in my posts, and I want to apologize. I plan to do better in the future. This Sunday, August 23, I will be preaching on the topic of You Can Change Your Life in 2026. Many of us would like to have a do-over, a second chance to get things right....
Sermon Series
We have begun an important new sermon series on the attributes of God. Many Christians have a very shallow understanding of God which has a negative impact on their Christian walk. This series is designed to help us improve our understanding of the nature and...
Weather Issues
As everyone already knows we have canceled church services for 1/25 due to the weather. We want everyone to stay safe, and it's not safe to be out in this weather. I encourage you to worship at home by reading your Bibles and praying. Spend some time this Sunday...
New Sermon Series Beginning Jan. 11
On January 11 I will begin a new four-week sermon series on holiness. This is not a topic addressed very often in our Baptist churches, but it addressed very often in both the Old and New Testaments. Holiness is more than focusing on certain hair or dress styles or...
Passing the Baton
Very often I get a call from a family asking me to sell items they have collected for years in my auction. Perhaps they are moving into assisted living or into a smaller house and cannot take everything they have accumulated over the years. To their surprise, they...
Merry Christmas
I just want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. Enjoy time with your family and remember the true reason we celebrate this occasion!
Services Cancelled Due to Weather
As many of you already know, we have cancelled services for today, 12/14, due to the weather. My wife and I attended her family's Christmas gathering last night and found the roads to be extremely dangerous. Added to that was the forecast that today's temperatures...
Apologies
It has been quite a while since I posted on this site, and for that I want to apologize. There are a number of reasons for this, but they are all simply excuses and not valid reasons. I will try to do better in the future. We are approaching Christmas and a new year....
New Sermon Series!
Starting this Sunday, 9/14, I will begin a new sermon series called "Living Your Best Life." God wants us to live abundant, fulfilling lives, but many of us live far below His desires for us. This eight-week series is designed to help us live the kind of lives God...
The Problem Atheists Can’t Resolve
Why do we believe some things are right and others are wrong? The person who insists there is no God really cannot make that determination. They may insist that moral values are culturally determined, but whose culture determines right and wrong? In one culture one...
Science Proves the Existence of God
We hear a lot today about how science disproves the existence of God and that many scientists do not accept the belief that God exists. Both of these are untrue. The fact is that many scientists are Christians who believe that science actually proves the existence of...
Spiritual Warfare
I recently read an article about a coffee shop being protested by a group of people due to the owner's Christian faith and his church's stance on social issues. This Christian started a ministry for homeless people to help them turn their lives around. The coffee shop...
